National Recording Artist Charles "TCO" Lee was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana September 27, 1983, and has been affiliated with music since the age of 12. He started his music journey as a secular artist and pursued it until that tragic day of August 29, 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. After the passing of the storm, he ended up in Mena, AR where he gave his life to Jesus Christ, and later became the first Christian Rap Artist to be featured on Rhythm 1 Records, inc, which was founded by Shannon " Shan B" Brewer in early 2006. He was also part of a group called TRC which has been very successful in the music industry. Being part of the group, TCO has shared the stage with some of Gospel's brightess and most influential stars such as Canton Jones, Mr.Del, Kirk Franklin, Patrice Wilson, William Demps, L. Spencer Smith & Testament, William Mcdowell, BB Jay, & K-Drama. In addition, he has also shared the stage with some of the world's most talented secular artist such as LiL Flip, Twista, Slim from 112, & J- Holiday. In November 2007, TRC was nominated for the Arkansas Heritage Awards for Best Gospel Rap Artist Of The Year and was voted one of Arkansas 2007 Top Gospel Hip Hop Artist by Arkansas Hits, January 1st, 2008. In December 2008, TRC was nominated by the National & and Independent Gospel Music Association ( N.I.G.M.A.) for the 2009 Rhythm Of Gospel Awards in the categories of Holy Hip Hop Group/Duo Of The Year and Artist Of The Year, and was nominated also for the Inferno Urban Music Awards in the category of Best Band/Group Live Performance that took Place in Atlanta Oct 10th 2009. TRC was also featured with Dr. Bobby Jones on the 2007 Power To End Stroke Tour. In 2011, TCO received an "I am hip-hop" and "Men of Valor" award at the 2011 Inferno Urban Music Awards held in Atlanta, GA. In September of 2011, TCO recieved an Award for the 2011 Best Christian Hip Hop Artist Of The Year at the 2011 Gospel on the river event held at the downtown Amplitheater. On February 16, 2013, TCO was featured on the national television show "DR. BOBBY JONES PRESENTS", which aired national three times on the Impact Network, exposing the anointing of his music ministry to the world. In addition to the music ministry, TCO developed acting skills and became a christian actor, featuring in several local short film movies produced by Rudy Aldor of Aldor Films.
As he grew a heart to see lives changed, God has deeply planted him into outreach, where he now ministers at a Juvenile Detention Facilty every 3rd sunday of the month. TCO is also apart of the Cornell Scott Youth And Arts Project Located in Texas where he speaks to the youth to help develope their talents and minds to become better than the " Deliquency Label " that they have been tagged with.
As a result of his growth in the Word of God, Charles"TCO"Lee was officially ordained and Licensed as a Minister at Faith Temple Full Gospel Deliverance Center under the leadership of Bishop L.A. Lindsey on November 15, 2009. He now resides as an associate minister at Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church along with his lovely wife and children under the leadership of Dr. Rev William Easter, SR Pastor. TCO understands that without God he is nothing, and that's why he make it his business to serve and obey God's word to the best of his ability daily. His goal is to win souls for Christ and to uplift and advance the Kingdom of God by way of the Holyspirit Through the word of God unashamed until God calls him home.
